Welcome To Our New Website and Blog

Welcome everyone to the new SGS INTERIORS Web site. Please look for updates and further improvements over the upcoming weeks. We will be adding new images to our portfolio as well as additional design-related site content. Thank you to those of you who submitted such kind client testimonials.

This blog is a forum where I will discuss current design trends, common mistakes or misconceptions, and my latest sources of inspiration. Feel free to peruse the archives of my column for UPI from the 1980s. Of course, design styles and fashions are always changing, but you may find some of these articles useful.

I will try to respond, periodically, to questions or comments posted here. Those that seem approrpriate may be added to the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section.

If you have a design project and would like to request a consultation, please send me your basic information to get started.

If you have not worked with an Interior Designer before, you might find my article entitled “Selecting And Working With An Interior Designer” useful.

Thanks for visiting my site. I look forward to meeting / interacting / working with you.
Incidentally, if you have any suggestions for blog topics or for the site in general, your thoughts are welcome.

I am so impressed with your work ethic/commitment to your clients and ability to comprehend what the client wants and not what you want. I have been through 3 local design firms that could not understand I wanted functionality wise in combination with design. You understood, I needed a relaxing ‘space” where I could enjoy my 3 children and also relax in my environment. As far as I am concerned, you are the BEST!

A first call to an Interior Designer can be as scary as a first call to a Therapist………but take heart, calling SGS Interiors will relieve any fears you may have had. No, she’s not going to tell you what to do with your place or that whatever you have done already by yourself is a washout. Susie will not gasp when she walks into your home but instead you will feel like welcoming her into your space. She will ask you some intelligent questions that gently tease out your lifestyle needs and that will begin the process of determining how you plan to use the space. And, if you have a partner that does not see things exactly as you do, you will be pleasantly surprised at how nicely she brings the two of you into a harmony. Susie helped us furnish a new home and she brought out the best in my husband and me. We just love our space and enjoyed the process of coming together to furnish it. L.C.
